John Allen is free now - his victims will never be!
In 1995, Bryn Alyn's boss John Allen was
convicted of child sex abuse. The abuse suffered by dozens
of residents of children's homes across north Wales emerged in 1995 when the homes' boss, John Allen, was convicted
of a series of indecent assaults. He was jailed for six years for
attacks on children which took place between 1972 and 1983.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT I have recently
been given access to old footage/video film from Bryn Alyn Community 1970's onwards. This film is important social
history and I believe it should be seen by all who wish to see it. Some of the film does include John Allen. Very sadly, some of the boys included
in the footage are no longer with us. The owner of the video has expressed concern about people being upset when viewing
the footage, however, I have encouraged them to continue to make it available because I truly feel that, like myself, many
people will want to see it. In many ways, it brings validity to the existence of Bryn Alyn Community while at the same time
it offers some people the opportunity to reflect on happier times spent at Bryn Alyn.
